Back in the day (IYKYK) someone posted a really great invention of a tape dispenser that perfectly mated two rolls of tape so that they were double thickness when then were, well, dispensed. It looked really great for those easily ripped areas, waist, cutaway, etc.
But, I can't for the life of me remember who made it. Does anyone recall? It was YEARS and YEARS ago.

Could this be it? - Sep 13, 2008

Personally I use 3M 1/2" mono filament tape.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

That is absolutely it. Thanks so much. I accused Pat Foster of making it, reaching out to him several times with "are you SURE it wasn't you who made it". He must have thought me to be totally nuts.
